Training and Capacity Building

SMD Policy Management Associates offers training which concern specifically to the public administration managers and officials. Indeed, our training courses are intended to provide the participants to enable them to fulfill their roles effectively and efficiently in order to ensure an optimal contribution of their support mission on development projects. More specifically, the aim is:

  • Putting Program and Project Management in the Context of Public Reform and Results-Based Management (RBM).
  • An understanding of the processes for the planning, budgeting and project management;
  • Controlling the main areas of technical skills including project management;
  • Discussing about challenges and issues related to the management of large public projects and sharing their experience.

These trainings are established in a catalog focused on our following main areas of expertise:

 

For each theme we propose a minimum of two modules, and the Cabinet offers the opportunity to participate in one or all modules.

In addition, we organize tailor-made training adapted to the specific needs of our customers. These trainings can be done either in our well-equipped training center based in Dakar, or in other localities of Senegal or even outside the country, particularly in other African countries.

Moreover, training and capacity building is facilitated by the SMD Policy Management Associates team, which is composed by international and bilingual experts and specialists (French, English) with strong background in the economic development area.
